Integration by JAPAN TELECOM of the broadband business operated by SOFTBANK BB for corporate customers

JAPAN TELECOM CO., LTD. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hideki Kurashige; hereinafter “JAPAN TELECOM”) will integrate broadband business operations for corporate customers currently run by SOFTBANK BB Corp. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Masayoshi Son; hereinafter “SOFTBANK BB”) on April 1, 2006. After the integration, SOFTBANK BB’s broadband services will be offered under the brand of JAPAN TELECOM.

JAPAN TELECOM and SOFTBANK BB have thus far cooperated in the broadband business for corporate customers. This integration is aimed at enabling to offer optimal ICT (Information and Communication Technology) solution services in response to customers’ work styles and business models, with more efficient operation of the business and enhancement of sales forces.

While the broadband service currently provided by SOFTBANK BB for corporate customers will be offered under JAPAN TELECOM’s brand from April 1, the substance of the service and its after-sale support system will not change even after the service’s integration. The new name of the service has yet to be decided, and will be announced via the web site of JAPAN TELECOM and others. Details of the broadband service currently being offered by SOFTBANK BB are shown below.
