SAPPORO BREWERIES replaces all external lines with JAPAN TELECOM's Otoku Line as part of their migration plan for a next voice network system

JAPAN TELECOM CO., LTD (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hideki Kurashige, hereafter “JAPAN TELECOM”) announces that JAPAN TELECOM will provide 850 lines of the Otoku Line direct connection voice service, to SAPPORO BREWERIES LIMITED (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masaru Fukunaga, hereafter “SAPPORO BREWERIES”) to replace their entire external lines, as part of their migration to a new voice network system.

SAPPORO BREWERIES has been examinig a variety of voice network systems, with an attempt to migrate their existing system to the one that best suits their business. In response to SAPPORO BREWERIES' most critical demand, “stablility of communication quality and further cost reductions,” JAPAN TELECOM offered the Otoku Line among its series of voice services, including IP telephony, which was adopted by SAPPORO BREWERIES.

The Otoku Line is a direct connection voice service that uses a telecommunication facilities owned by JAPAN TELECOM. The service realizes an approximately 20% reduction on the basic charges and call charges, at the same level of communication quality.

JAPAN TELECOM will continue to provide the optimum Information & Communications Technology (ICT) solution services for SAPPORO BREWERIES, aiming at being a strategic partner to support the effective utilization of their new voice network system.
