Discontinuation Notice of 2G Service

TOKYO, November 24, 2009 --- SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. (hereafter ‘SBM’) announced that it will discontinue its 2G (PDC) service at 2:00 am on March 31, 2010.

The discontinuation of the 2G service will automatically terminate subscriptions of current 2G subscribers and all services including voice call, mail, web communication and voice message will become unavailable. Subscription period, SoftBank Mileage points and the balance of recharge registered by a 2G prepaid handset can not be carried over after April 1, 2010.

SBM has informed its current 2G subscribers about the 2G service discontinuation and migration to the 3G service through direct mail and on its website (Japanese only).
