SOFTBANK BB Corp. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masayoshi Son) and Little eArth Corporation Co.,Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Gen Mishiba) (LAC) have agreed to form an alliance to offer remote corporate security monitoring and management services.

SOFTBANK BB has nominated the Japan Security Operation Center (JSOC*), operated by LAC, which provides total security solution services, as its official SOC. The company will also package LAC's JSOC management, monitoring, and emergency response services with its range of security products.

SOFTBANK BB already sells and provides maintenance and support for a comprehensive range of security products. Bringing additional LAC services on board will enable the company to quickly detect internal and external attacks on the information assets of its corporate clients and offer an expanded range of emergency response services for urgent asset restoration. The services will therefore contribute to a higher level of corporate security amongst its clients.

SOFTBANK BB will begin offering the new service from late February 2003 to its sales partners and systems integrators from 50,000yen a month, depending on the details of the service.

Both companies plan to use this alliance as a platform for jointly marketing and sellingsecurity services, aimed at increasing security product and service sales. SOFTBANK BB was formed on January 7, 2003 through the merger of SOFTBANK EC HOLDINGS CORP, SOFTBANK COMMERCE CORP, BB Technologies Corporation, and SOFTBANK Networks Inc. The company plans to incorporate LAC's range of services in its lineup of carrier services, which include ADSL and optical fiber installations.
