Discontinuation of 3G Services

SoftBank Corp. today announced that it will discontinue 3G services in late January 2024 to provide stable, high-quality and comfortable telecommunication services by utilizing spectrum efficiently. SoftBank Corp. first began offering 3G services in December 2002. Since then, SoftBank Corp. has spread LTE services that offer faster speeds and better communication quality. Accordingly, SoftBank will discontinue 3G services and proceed with plans to use spectrum efficiently.

SoftBank Corp. will aim to further increase customer satisfaction by providing stable telecommunication services that offer fast speeds and large data volumes.
